As Kash Patel took charge of FBI as its first Indian American director with a warning to hunt down those who seek to harm Americans, a top aide of President Donald Trump greeted him with a Bollywood song meme.
Amid an Internet meme frenzy Dan Scavino, White House Deputy Chief of staff shared a Bollywood meme featuring Patel in a grand warrior-style entrance dancing to the tune of a triumphant song with a similar theme — ‘Dushman ki dekho jo waat laavli’ (Look at the enemy running scared).

Scavino took to X to post an edited clip from the Bollywood blockbuster Bajirao Mastani replacing actor Ranveer Singh’s face, playing the fearless Maratha warrior Bajirao, dancing to the triumphant song Malhari after a victorious battle, with Patel’s. The meme quickly went viral, with users across the political spectrum reacting in amusement, disbelief, and curiosity.
Patel himself quickly took to X with a new handle “FBI Director Kash Patel & @FBIDirectorKash” thanking President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi “for your unwavering confidence and support.”
“The FBI has a storied legacy—from the “G-Men” to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11,” he wrote. “The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. The politicalization of our justice system has eroded public trust—but that ends today.”
“My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops—and rebuild trust in the FBI,” Patel wrote. “Working alongside the dedicated men and women of the Bureau and our partners, we will rebuild an FBI the American people can be proud of.”
“And to those who seek to harm Americans—consider this your warning. We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet,” he warned signing off, “Mission First. America Always. Let’s get to work.”
Trump tapped Patel to replace Christopher Wray, who the president nominated for a 10-year term during his first administration. Wray quit before Trump’s inauguration after he named Patel for the job.
Republicans argued that Wray allowed the politicization of his agency in the opposite direction, blaming him for the sweep of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as part of the investigation into his retention of classified documents.
A former Department of Defense and National Security Council staffer during Trump’s original stint in the White House, Patel has proven himself as an unwavering ally to the president. As a House aide, he worked to discredit the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Patel has indicated he intends to massively overhaul the agency, including by “coming after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections.” In his book, “Government Gangsters,” he also outlined members of the “Executive Branch Deep State” — what Democrats have dubbed an “enemies list.”

Meanwhile, as Scavino’s meme went viral, social media users had a field day with their own interpretations.
“Kash Patel walking into the FBI office on Day 1 like a Bollywood hero—this is GOLD!” one user wrote.
“Malhari means ‘celebration after victory’… this meme is actually spot on!” another pointed out.
Some users even created their own versions of the meme, adding sound effects and captions like “Patel cleaning house at the FBI like…” while using Bollywood action scenes.
