Google co-founder Larry Page is starting a new company post his departure from Alphabet in 2019. With his latest venture focused on artificial intelligence, the veteran tech entrepreneur is back in the game. His new company called Dynatomics will be applying AI to reshape product manufacturing, according to The Information.
AI is revolutionizing product manufacturing by enhancing efficiency, quality, and customization. Through automation, AI-powered systems can streamline production lines, reduce downtime, and optimize resource allocation. Page’s venture aims to use AI to generate optimized product designs that can be manufactured efficiently in factories.

The Information also reported that Page is working with a small group of engineers on AI that can create “highly optimized” designs for objects and then have a factory build them.
Dynatomics is venturing into AI-driven design automation, using machine learning to generate highly optimized renderings of objects, aiming to streamline product development across various industries. Machine learning algorithms also predict maintenance needs, preventing costly breakdowns and ensuring smooth operations.
The AI race has intensified over the past year, with AI initiatives attracting record-breaking investments. In 2024, global AI funding reached a record high of $100.4 billion, with early-stage AI deals dominating the landscape, according to CB Insights.
Major tech companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon have poured billions into AI research, while the U.S. federal government has ramped up support through initiatives like the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Stargate Project to boost AI and semiconductor innovation.
As AI continues to evolve, its integration into manufacturing processes will drive further innovation, reduce costs, and create more sustainable production practices.
This is not Page’s first venture outside of Google — in 2010, he launched a startup to develop personalized flying cars called Zee.Aero, which later produced the Z-P2 eVTOL aircraft and merged with Kitty Hawk.
Google’s foray into AI
Google and its parent company, Alphabet, have been at the forefront of AI innovation. Google integrates AI into various consumer-facing products, such as Google Search, Google Assistant, and YouTube, leveraging machine learning to improve user experience and personalization.

Through Google Cloud, the company offers AI and machine learning tools to businesses, allowing them to build AI-powered solutions. Alphabet’s subsidiary DeepMind has made significant strides in AI research, most famously with AlphaGo, the first AI to defeat a human champion in the complex game of Go, and AlphaFold, which revolutionized protein folding prediction and has broad implications for medical and scientific research.
Alphabet is also exploring AI applications in other sectors, including healthcare, with AI-powered tools for diagnostics, and in self-driving cars through Waymo. Additionally, the company uses AI in its smart home products like Nest to enhance automation. Overall, Google and Alphabet’s AI initiatives drive innovation across industries and improve everyday life.
