U.S.-based AI education and consulting firm Intupower has signed a strategic alliance with the Mercosur Chamber of Commerce to promote ethical AI education across Latin America, the organizations announced Tuesday through a press release.
The partnership will introduce eight AI education programs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, aiming to drive regional growth and solidify Latin America’s role in the global AI landscape. The initiative will begin in Colombia before expanding across the region, with a focus on ethical AI adoption through “The Hasan Method™,” a no-code machine learning solution.

Mercosur (short for Mercado Común del Sur, or Southern Common Market) is a regional trade bloc in South America. Its full members include Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, with Bolivia in the process of becoming a full member. Venezuela’s membership was suspended in 2016 due to its failure to meet the bloc’s democratic and trade obligations.
The bloc focuses on economic integration, free trade, and political cooperation among its members. It also has several associate members, including Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Guyana.
The collaboration with Intupower seeks to position Mercosur as a center for AI innovation, reduce economic migration by creating high-value local jobs, and promote cross-border digital connectivity. Other goals include fostering social cohesion, environmental leadership, and digital sovereignty aligned with regional values.
“As the founder of Intupower and an immigrant from Bangladesh to the United States, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of education and technology,” said Mo Hasan, Intupower’s founder. “Our vision of ethical, responsible, and accessible AI will lay the foundation for regional technological leadership.”

The Policies Institute will provide governance oversight, ensuring AI initiatives align with ethical and cultural standards through its “7 Policies” framework.
The first phase of implementation will focus on Colombia, incorporating projects such as Digital Centers, Power School Program, Power Centers, and Community Zones for Peace. The partnership will officially launch with a live event in Medellín, aimed at executives, government officials, and business leaders.
“This is not simply about importing Silicon Valley models,” said Dr. Vélez Mejía. “We are building something authentically Latin American: an AI vision that reflects our values, addresses our specific needs, and creates prosperity while strengthening our cultural fabric.”
