Y Combinator-backed startup Synthio Labs has come out of stealth to announce they have been building agentic AI teammates that aim to transform how life sciences teams engage with their most important stakeholders — patients and physicians.
Co-founder Supreet Deshpande has stated in a LinkedIn post that this startup started with a simple question — “What if Pharma Commercial and Medical teams had infinite resources for Physician (HCP) engagement?” Synthio Labs believes AI agents can help enable that.
Synthio Labs claims that their always-on, AI-powered platform delivers compliant, credible, and science-first interactions at scale — ensuring every physician conversation is grounded in clinical excellence.

Nexa, Synthio Labs’ AI medical expert helps with physician identification, compliant, on-label discussions, education on clinical guidelines and scientific information, and booking follow-up appointments with field teams. The technology aims to increase physician engagement, personalize interactions, and streamline the launch cycle. By focusing on what humans do best and enhancing communication, Nexa promises faster results without the added costs. The innovation could dramatically improve pharma operations and increase efficiency across the board.
According to Synthio Labs, their SynthioPolaris platform is building the future of HCP engagement by designing intelligent AI agents that transform every physician interaction. The SynthioPolaris platform includes AI voice agents which engage, explain, and accelerate decisions with custom-built AI agents, multi-agent workflows which orchestrate real-time research, synthesis and action workflows, 24/7 background intelligence which involves continuous scanning, fact-checking, and insight generation, and enterprise-ready architecture which is built with enterprise-grade security, and is fully compliant from day one.
Synthio Labs has been founded by Deshpande, Sahitya Sridhar, and Rajashekhar Vasantha. They are ex-McKinsey, ex-ZS Life Sciences experts and AI researchers from AWS, who have worked with 10 of the top 20 pharma companies and bring over a decade of experience in life sciences.
