Here are the timings for major retailers on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day:
Costco: Costco is open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Christmas, per the retailer’s website. It is open New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on New Year’s Day.

Kroger: Most stores will be open until 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve, according to Kroger’s website. Stores will be closed on Christmas Day and reopen Friday, Dec. 26, with regular hours. Most Kroger stores will be open New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, but check individual locations for more details.
Publix: On Christmas Eve, all stores ,including pharmacies, will open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m., per the company’s website. All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Christmas Day. Stores will be open New Year’s Eve until 9 p.m., and many locations will close on New Year’s Day at 7 p.m.
Sam’s Club: The warehouse retailer states on its website that it will be open to Plus members at 8 a.m. and Club members at 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve, closing at 6 p.m. for everyone. Stores will be closed on Christmas Day.
On New Year’s Eve, stores will open at 8 a.m. for Plus members and 9 a.m. for Club members, closing at 8 p.m. for everyone. All Sam’s Club stores will be closed on New Year’s Day.
