Indian American author and wellness figure Deepak Chopra has been in the spotlight for weeks. Now, the spiritual leader found himself facing questions at an airport after his name surfaced in the Epstein files.
The renewed scrutiny comes even as artist and entrepreneur Sevda Rubens has alleged that Chopra behaved inappropriately toward her at a meditation event in Europe, adding another layer to the controversy surrounding him.
A video that has been widely shared on X captures the moment Chopra was approached at an airport and questioned about his alleged links to Jeffrey Epstein. As he walked past, a person can be heard asking, “You’ve built your entire career on spirituality. What do you have to say about your actions with Epstein? Any regrets? Do you have any regrets? I said, do you have any regrets about your relationship with Epstein?”
In response, Chopra repeatedly said, “you decide.” The person shot back, “You want me to decide? No, I’m asking you, sir.” The spiritual leader replied, “You give me your opinion. You have a right to your opinion.” When pressed further, Chopra added, “I’m not answering.”

The exchange did not end there. As Chopra maintained his position, the person continued pressing him. Chopra said, “You do your own work and find out.” The individual responded, “God is a construct. And cute girls are real, sir. You know, it wasn’t tone, sir. It was more than tone.” Chopra replied, “Okay, that’s your view. You’re entitled to your opinion.”
The questioning intensified. “I don’t have an opinion. That’s why I’m asking you. I’m just asking the questions. This is an important topic. It’s very important. And you could answer it right here and put it to bed. Yeah? Okay, sir, let me ask you this. You had a position of trust, a position of power, and people feel let down by that. Do you have any Any regrets at all? Sir, let me ask you this. Do you wish you distanced yourself from him earlier, sooner? Listen, the people want to know, sir. The people want to know. The people have a right to know. The victims have a right to know, don’t they?” The individual kept on asking.
The individual then told the spiritual leader that he was simply doing his job. “Listen, Mr. Chopra, I’m just doing my job. You know that, right?” he said.
As the exchange drew to a close, Chopra responded, “It will all come to light.” He went on to assert, “No misconduct. Zero.” Chopra also said he would be willing to testify before Congress if called upon to do so.
