FBI director Kash Patel marked his birthday with a public message from his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, who took to X to celebrate the occasion.
“Happy Birthday to the best 💘 @Kash_Patel,” Wilkins wrote in a brief post, sharing the message with her followers on the social media platform.
Patel has been in a relationship with Alexis Wilkins since at least 2023. The two reportedly met at an event in Nashville and have been together since.
Their relationship drew wider scrutiny after reports surfaced that Patel used an agency aircraft to travel to Pennsylvania, where Wilkins was scheduled to perform the national anthem at a wrestling event. The trip sparked questions online and in political circles.

In November 2025, Patel addressed the chatter directly on X, pushing back against what he described as “baseless rumors” and “fake news” about their relationship. In a lengthy post, he defended Wilkins and criticized what he characterized as unfair speculation.
Later that month, additional controversy followed. According to a report by The New York Times, SWAT team members from the FBI’s Nashville field office were assigned on multiple occasions to provide security for Wilkins. The report noted that these elite agents typically handle high-risk operations, raising concerns among some observers that diverting them for personal protection duties could affect readiness in the event of an emergency.
Wilkins is a graduate of Belmont University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile. During her time there, she was active on the university’s ethics debate team and received honors including the Williams-Murray Writing Award and the Economics Critical Thinking Award.
In addition to her academic background, Wilkins has built a career in music. Her LinkedIn describes her as a recording artist, performer and writer since 2007. She released her debut EP, Grit, in April 2023. Beyond music, she identifies as a political commentator on her Instagram profile.

Her professional resume also reflects growing involvement in conservative advocacy circles.
According to LinkedIn, she has served as a consultant for The American Border Story since May 2025 and joined the board of the National Rifle Association in June 2025. Her biography on PragerU describes her as an ambassador for Turning Point USA and a contributor to The Unity Project.
In a conversation with Megyn Kelly, Wilkins spoke candidly about how her relationship with Kash Patel began. She said the two first met at a gathering hosted at a friend’s home in Nashville.
Recalling her initial impression, Wilkins said she was struck by how “so honest” he was, adding that his straightforward nature stood out to her.
During her July 2025 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, she shared that they had been together for a little more than two and a half years, placing the start of their relationship well before Patel took the helm at the FBI. Reflecting on how life has unfolded since, she joked that “all of this was not on my bingo card, but here we are.”
