As Oracle Corporation pushes ahead with cutting up to 30,000 roles globally, including around 12,000 in India is now unfolding the human impact of the decision across social media. The job cuts come as the company shifts focus toward artificial intelligence and ramps up investments in large-scale data centers, with employees told that changing business priorities had made several roles redundant.
In the days since, affected workers have taken to platforms like LinkedIn, X, and Reddit to share their experiences, offering a glimpse into the emotional toll behind the restructuring.
One such account came from Paul Ronjak, who had been working remotely from Denver, Colorado, and spent over a decade with Oracle Health. Reflecting on his journey, he wrote, “I was let go from Oracle Health today. Twelve years is a long time. I was hired out of college during the peak of EHRs being implemented at a national scale – the energy felt exciting and the people were inspiring.” He added that he later moved into enterprise sales, working with some of the most complex health systems in the country, and said, “I am proud of what I built there and my seven consecutive years overachieving my quota. That doesn’t happen without a lot of strong people in your corner.”

Ronjak also highlighted the relationships he built over the years and the perspective he gained on the healthcare ecosystem. “The relationships I’ve built and an appreciation for how complex healthcare is are what I will carry forward,” he wrote, adding, “It’s a small healthcare IT world and I’ve been privileged to work with amazing clinicians and hospitals who are genuinely trying to make it better for patients.”
Even as he acknowledged the uncertainty ahead, his post struck a note of cautious optimism. “I don’t have a perfect next chapter to announce. What I do have is clarity, a strong network, and a lot of runway,” he said, while also reaching out to potential collaborators. “If you’re working on something interesting in healthcare technology, especially in the clinical AI, imaging, or enterprise software space, I’d love to connect.”
Closing his note on a reflective note, he wrote, “Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this chapter. It meant more than you know.”

Another employee, Richard, who worked as a Senior Principal Product Manager, also took to LinkedIn to share that he is exploring new opportunities. In his post, he wrote, “Hi everyone! I’m seeking a new role and would appreciate your support. If you hear of any opportunities or just want to catch up, please send me a message or comment below. I’d love to reconnect. #OpenToWork.”
Outlining his preferences, Heflin added, “I’m looking for Director, Solutions Architect, Disaster Recovery Manager, and Management Information Systems Manager roles,” while noting that he is open to opportunities in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and has previously worked at Oracle Corporation.
These post mirrors a broader sentiment emerging online, where many laid-off employees are not just processing the shock of job loss, but also looking back at years of work, relationships, and contributions while navigating an uncertain future in a tech industry increasingly being reshaped by AI. At the same time, like many others impacted by the layoffs at Oracle Corporation, Ronjak, Heflin have turned on the “Open to Work” badge on LinkedIn, signaling they are actively exploring new opportunities
