Police wary as homes of Indians in Plano, Irving burglarized.

WASHINGTON, DC: Police in Plano, Texas are concerned that a burglary at the home of an Indian American may indicate that an infamous crime syndicate that targeted people of Indian descent has resurfaced.
According to David Tilley, spokesman for the Plano police, just before 9 p.m. Friday two people broke into a house along the 4000 block of Wind Dance Circle, near the intersection of Coit and McDermott roads. They entered via the back door — and in full view of a surveillance camera perched just above the back patio, reported the Dallas Morning News.
“They broke in and went straight to the master bedroom and ransacked the whole bedroom,” the homeowner told ABC affiliate WFAA.
According to Tilley, “These suspects might possibly be the Asian/Indian residential burglars that have hit in the past.â€
Tilley was quick to emphasize that it is just a hunch, but one that is grounded in reliable intel. He also noted that police in the neighboring city of Irving reported a similar incident where the victim was of Indian descent and the exact same vehicle description was provided — a newer model white Nissan Altima with a moon roof.
“I think it’s part of the same group,” stated Tilley, according to WFAA. “I don’t know if it’s the same people or not, but I believe they’re going to be associated with the same group.”
The Indian American households that were violently burglarized during the prior spree were in Houston and Columbia, and Tilley pointed out to the Dallas Morning news that the former “has had repeated problems with this group†in the past.
“We want to get the word out early even though this is our first suspected incident,†Tilley told the Dallas Morning News. “Again, this is just suspected at this time, and we have nothing to prove they are in fact this group, but we want to warn those who might be affected to stay alert.â€
