In a significant boost for Vietnam’s growing Web3 ecosystem, Unchained Summit has formally secured government backing through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center (Department of Science and Technology), positioning Da Nang as the host city for the summit’s Vietnam edition on May 28-29, 2026 at the Furama Resort.
The signing ceremony took place at the Da Nang City Administrative Center on Feb. 25 and was complemented by direct engagement with Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, reflecting coordinated support from the city’s administration behind the initiative.
Vietnam’s digital asset ecosystem is currently at an inflection point. The country consistently ranks among the top nations globally for crypto adoption, with over 20 million Vietnamese holding digital assets. As the government develops frameworks to support blockchain innovation and digital finance, the environment for meaningful industry dialogue has grown increasingly favorable.
Unchained Summit arrives at what organizers describe as a pivotal moment — when policy direction is clear, institutional interest is accelerating, and the ecosystem is ready for global engagement capable of shaping markets and regulation.
The Vietnam edition is built around a singular objective: to connect the global blockchain and digital asset community with leaders, investors, and policymakers driving Vietnam’s digital economy forward. Over two days, the summit will bring together more than 1,000 attendees, including builders, developers, venture capital representatives, enterprise technology leaders, and regulatory stakeholders. The platform aims to serve both the global industry and Vietnam’s ambitions in equal measure.
In addition to the MoU with the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center, further agreements were signed with the Vietnam Blockchain Association and Open Campus, reinforcing institutional alignment and ecosystem engagement. A separate agreement was formalized with Liquid Loans, underscoring early private-sector support behind the initiative.
The summit will feature a curated lineup of more than 50 speakers across two days. Confirmed names include Jacob Robert Steeves, CEO of Bittensor; Kevin Lee, Chief Business Officer at Gate; Daryl Lim, General Partner at Trive; and Justin Kim, Head of Asia at Ava Labs, among others. Additional speakers will be announced in phases.
