A disturbing incident involving an Indian family in Manteca, California, has gained traction on social media after a viral Instagram reel alleged a highly coordinated daytime robbery that left the victims shaken.
According to a post shared by Instagram handle nris_adda, the theft took place while the family had stepped out briefly to attend a function on a nearby street. In their absence, unidentified intruders reportedly broke into the house, ransacked the premises, and escaped with valuables worth nearly $80,000, including gold, silver, personal belongings, and baby items recently brought from India.

The post claims the burglary was not random but appeared to be carefully planned. The perpetrators are suspected to have followed the family’s movements and used signal jammers to interfere with the home’s CCTV camera system before entering through the back of the house.
“The entire home was ransacked,” the caption read, adding that the family includes a newborn, which has made the situation even more distressing for them.
A comment on the post echoed similar concerns, stating, “They used jammers to hack the camera system and carried out the robbery in the afternoon. It appears to be completely planned.” Several other users flooded the comments section, expressing worry over rising incidents targeting Indian households abroad and urging others to stay vigilant.

While the claims have not been independently verified, the post notes that the family has already filed a police report and is cooperating with local authorities. However, they are said to be overwhelmed and uncertain about the next steps.
As the investigation continues in Manteca, the incident has struck a chord across social media, especially among the Indian diaspora, raising concerns about targeted burglaries and evolving tactics like alleged signal jamming. While authorities have yet to confirm the specifics circulating online, the case underscores the growing anxiety around home security and the need for greater awareness.
