The popular frozen dessert company Outshine Fruit Bars has voluntarily recalled select batches due to the possibility of glass contamination.
As per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled batch will have best before dates ranging between May 31, 2027, and Nov. 30, 2027. The move comes as the company received consumer reports of glass found in the product.
According to Outshine’s parent company Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, the recalled products are 2.5-ounce bars of five flavors such as strawberry, watermelon, grape, tangerine and black cherry and the 24-count variety pack. The customers should not eat the recalled batches, the company advised and noted that the products can be returned to stores for refund. The company also provided the UPC numbers and bar codes to help customers identify the affected products.
