Going neck to neck with HTC One (M8).

BANGALORE: After teasing people with their new upcoming product for months, Sony has finally launched its Xperia Z2 smartphone in the Indian market.
The Xperia Z2 comes with various new features and is a stark improvement over the last product, Xperia Z1. It comes with a new Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat). The processor is a 2.3 GHz Quad core Krait Snapdragon 801 chipset with a graphics processor of Adreno 330 but what makes it really exciting is the 3GB RAM, which makes a great deal of difference from the Xperia Z1 which only had a 2GB RAM.
It’s being said that the Xperia Z2 will give a tough competition to the other exciting launch this summer, the HTC One (M8). The specifications of the HTC One (M8) and are remarkably close to the Xperia Z2.
The HTC One (M8) processor is also a 2.3 GHz Quad Core Krait Snapdragon 801 chipset. It is also offering the same graphics processor, storage expansion capacity of 128 GB and built in storage of 16 GB. Only the system memory of the HTC One (M8) falls short of its competitor with only a 2 GB RAM.
The HTC One (M8) has an aluminum body while the Xperia Z2 has a water and dust resistant glass body. The Xperia Z2 also has a scratch resistant glass display, with shatterproof glass on the back, features unique to all high-end Sony smartphones.
The Xperia Z2 like its predecessor is equipped with a 20.7 MP camera but with new features like 4K and slow-motion recording, along with direct upload apps to Vine and Evernote. The HTC One (M8) has two cameras on the back which is its USP, just like the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has been priced at 49, 900 whereas the HTC One (M8) will cost from Rs. 49, 899 to Rs. 54, 999.
