The Indian American Impact Fund has endorsed Hetal Doshi for Attorney General of Colorado, one of the most critical statewide races in 2026. If elected, Doshi would become the first South Asian to serve as Colorado’s top legal officer.
For nearly two decades, Hetal Doshi, daughter of Indian immigrants, has built a career standing up for fairness and accountability in the justice system, leading community political advocacy group said in a media release. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Colorado, she took on complex cases involving fraud, public corruption, and civil rights.
Later, as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, she led major enforcement actions to protect consumers, workers, and small businesses, challenging corporate abuses that drove up grocery bills, inflated housing costs, and held down wages., it said. In every role, Doshi has put people over powerful interests and delivered results for her community.

“We are proud to endorse Hetal Doshi because she is the proven fighter Coloradans need as their Attorney General. She has taken on fraud, corruption, and some of the biggest corporations in America to deliver results for everyday people,” Chintan Patel, Executive Director of the Impact Fund stated.

At a time when the rule of law and democracy itself are under attack, Hetal will be a fearless Attorney General who puts Colorado families first.”

“That’s not because we aren’t working hard enough; it’s because those with power are rigging the system in their favor. That is why I am running for Attorney General: to keep our communities safe, ensure our economy is fair, and protect every Coloradan’s rights and dignity,” she wrote.

Doshi launched her campaign on June 5, joining a large Democratic primary for Colorado AG. Just 24 hours after launching her campaign, Doshi raised $265,000, breaking a record for the most money raised by a state-level candidate in a single day, Denver7 reported.
Current Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is term-limited and running for Colorado governor.
