Apple added three of its products to its obsolete products list on its website. These include the 11-inch MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
A device becomes “obsolete” once more than seven years after Apple stops distributing it for sale. Apple stores and authorized service providers do not typically repair obsolete products; however, the company says MacBooks may be eligible for battery replacements for up to 10 years after distribution ends, subject to parts availability.
The 11-inch MacBook Air was discontinued in 2016, moments after introducing the first MacBook Pro models with a Touch Bar. Considering it has only been added to the obsolete list now, it likely remained available through select resellers till some point in 2018.

The current MacBook Air has 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch display size options. Apple is also rumored to be planning a new 12.9-inch MacBook powered by the iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro chip.
The 11-inch MacBook Air was the smallest and cheapest MacBook available, and it became popular for its portability and low cost. The model first made its debut in 2010.
Alongside the Mac update, Apple has also added the iPhone 8 Plus (64GB and 256GB models) to its “vintage” products list. Devices are categorized as “vintage” once they have been off sale for five years. The iPhone 8, which was launched in September 2017, is also likely to be obsolete soon.

In addition to the new iPhone, Apple would have likely have updated the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3. The company might also announce Airpods Pro 3, three years after the release of the previous generation of Airpods.
