Simplify Healthcare, a leading provider of cloud-based healthcare technology solutions for payers, has elevated Ruchir Ranjan, currently Chief Customer Officer, to Chief Executive Officer.
Company founder Mohammed Vaid will transition to the role of Founder, Executive Chair, and Chief Solution Architect, according to a press release from Aurora, Illinois-based company.
“Ruchir has been instrumental in building deep relationships with our customers and driving exceptional outcomes across our customer base,” said Vaid. “Over the past 3 years, he has demonstrated remarkable leadership, strategic thinking, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of transforming healthcare.”
As Chief Customer Officer, Ranjan led Simplify Healthcare’s customer success and growth organization, achieving 100% growth over 3 years and expanding relationships with 70+ health plans across 200+ solutions, according to the release.

He joined Simplify Healthcare in 2022 and has been integral to the company’s growth from 600+ to 900+ employees and 40 to 70+ health plan customers.

At Cognizant, he served as Managing Partner and Region Head, driving large-scale transformation programs and building strategic client relationships across Healthcare and Life Sciences.
His decade-long tenure at Accenture as Global Client Account Lead saw him successfully manage complex accounts, improve client satisfaction, and lead global delivery operations.
Earlier in his career, he also served as Chief Technology Officer and Board Member at ExtendMed, where he directed product development and technology partnerships, and as Director, eBusiness Consulting Practice at Open Business Systems, where he oversaw P&L, business development, and strategic growth for enterprise clients.
