A fresh political spat has unfolded online after Donald Trump posted a stark warning on Truth Social, saying that an entire civilization could be at risk. The remark quickly drew reactions across party lines, setting off a heated exchange on X between Trump ally Laura Loomer and Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna.
The back-and-forth began when Khanna took aim at JD Vance, sharing a clip in which Vance, attending a rally hosted by Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, appeared to be unable to get through to Trump on a call. Reacting to the moment, Khanna wrote, “Hosting rallies for foreign leaders while your boss threatens to wipe out a nation of 91 million people is not America First.”

Loomer quickly amplified the criticism by resharing Khanna’s post, adding her own sharp response: “bombing Muslim terrorists in 100% America First.”
Khanna pushed back, questioning both the rhetoric and its alignment with American values, while also referencing Loomer’s recent visit to India. “Do you really believe wiping out an entire civilization is consistent with American values? I thought you had a spiritual renewal in India and actually was going to reach out about that,” he said.
Loomer, while responding to Khanna’s remark, also struck a different note about her India visit, adding, “I did love my time in India. It was awesome.”
The exchange escalated further as Loomer accused Khanna of misrepresenting Trump’s remarks. “You’re a bad actor and being dishonest. President Trump is referring to the Islamic regime of Iran when he talks about an ‘entire civilization’. Islamic Iran is not Persia. How are you a US Congressman and you don’t understand this?” she wrote.
Doubling down, Loomer also dismissed ongoing diplomatic efforts, framing them as ineffective.
“I don’t know why people are acting like this is a win. The Muslims, Woke Reich and Trump haters are using this ‘negotiation’ to attack President Trump while they praise Allies of Tucker Carlson and call for the 25th Amendment to be used against President Trump. The ceasefire will fail. And Trump will be proven right about how this regime needs to be wiped out,” Loomer said.

Even as the temporary pause takes effect, early signs suggest the situation remains highly unstable.
Initial reports indicate that the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, announced on April 8, has had a shaky start. Within hours of the agreement, countries in the Gulf including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain reported fresh drone and missile activity allegedly launched from Iran.
Despite these early violations, the broader truce appears to be largely holding for now, with no immediate return to full-scale strikes.
