Airbnb announced on Tuesday that select listings in 2026 FIFA World Cup’s 16 host cities will include complimentary match tickets for games from the group and knockout stages through the final.
“Airbnb hosts don’t just offer you a place to stay—they provide a more authentic way to experience a destination,” said Dave Stephenson, Chief Business Officer of Airbnb. “And this World Cup, they’re doing something extraordinary: helping fans follow their teams wherever the tournament takes them, with select homes including free tickets in every host city.”

Airbnb said that listings that include free tickets will feature a soccer ball icon as a highlight at the top of the listing page. On confirming the booking, tickets will be available for every guest in the party. These bookings average $385 per night.
This comes as FIFA’s ticketing system has been criticized for high prices, lack of transparency, and the introduction of dynamic pricing. There’s also a booming secondary ticket market, where many seats at group-stage matches cost thousands of dollars, pricing many people out of attending.
Airbnb had launched a set of exclusive fan experiences tied to the World Cup back in May. These range from the opportunity to play against a former soccer pro in a FIFA World Cup stadium to hanging out with athlete Rio Ferdinand in an Airbnb for four days located in Los Angeles.
Airbnb estimates that over 1,300 free tickets will be allotted to Airbnb hosts and guests, including tickets already gifted to guests and those included in future stays tied to game dates.

“I grew up playing soccer—it’s been part of my life since I could walk. Getting to share that love of the game with guests, and actually get them into a World Cup match, is something I never could have imagined when I first listed my home on Airbnb. This is what hosting is all about,” said Airbnb host Federico Zimmerman from Dallas, Texas.
Meanwhile, restaurants in New York City are offering $26 dining deals during the World Cup. Some of these restaurants include Staten Island brewery Kills Boro Brewing Company, Harlem comfort food restaurant Red Rooster, Rockefeller Center Korean restaurant Naro, Jackson Heights Italian restaurant Armondo’s, Little Neck Tunisian bistro La Baraka, Texas-style barbecue restaurant Morgan’s in Prospect Heights, and many others. The full list will be published on the city’s website by the time the World Cup begins.
