Puny judges rile POTUS more potent than Stalin, Mao and Attila the Hun
A ‘historian’ had assured him he was more powerful than some of the most feared leaders in history from Attila the Hun to Napoleon, Stalin, Mao, and Hitler, not to forget William the Conqueror.
In a two-page letter to Donald Trump, Dave King argued that each of the other leaders, “however fearsome in his day, had no global reach. Their power was local. But (Trump’s) was not.” And “If President Trump is the American Eagle, then William the Conqueror was merely a sparrow.”
These leaders “maintained power through fear. Who would ever do a thing like that? Right?” asked “the peace president,” who has upended alliances, rattled friends and got a shaky deal with Iran after threatening to just bomb the hell out of them.

Trump had proudly shown the letter to New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan when they came to interview him in March for their new book, “Regime Change,” a behind the scenes account of the first 14 months of his second term.
Yet the two had sought to diminish King by suggesting he was no historian and just hall of fame golfer Gary Player’s longtime caddy who had shared “his assessment of Trump’s power with Player and later explained it directly to Trump over golf in Florida.”
King may not have studied history, but he had watched history in making! So just ahead of the book’s release, Trump posted the document on Truth Social proclaiming, “Presidential Historian Dave King — Sounds good to me!”
And it took a heated lunch with Trump for Senate Republicans to reverse course on an Iran war powers resolution a day after passing a measure to block further strikes on Tehran.
“Wow! The Senate just changed its vote on Iran from 50-48 against, to 50-47 for…This vote puts Iran on notice!” wrote an elated Trump after sqashing the short-lived rebellion by a few lawmakers fearing a rout at the midterms over the highly unpopular war.

He had earlier upbraided “four Republican Losers” for voting with the ‘Dumocrats,’ or ‘Dum(b)ocrats’ — as he calls Democrats — when “I have Iran on the ‘ropes,’ ready to go down for the fall, willing to give us practically anything.”
Throwing another tantrum, Trump abruptly canceled the signing of a bipartisan bill on affordable housing, saying he will not approve it until the Senate passes the Save America Act, a bill that would require Americans to show IDs to vote.
“The time for waiting is over. America’s elections MUST be secured with the SAVE America Act” the White House posted with a picture of Trump captioned “NO MORE GAMES – SAVE AMERICA’S ELECTIONS.’
He relished another little victory as his first-term national security adviser turned vocal Trump critic John Bolton pleaded guilty to one count of retaining sensitive government information for his memoir, “The Room Where It Happened.”
Calling “Bolton, a very dumb, unbalanced,” and “a terrible person, a lunatic who only wanted to start trouble and wars,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social, “Hopefully, he will be dealt with harshly!”
But nothing worked on the Lincoln Memorial’s Reflecting Pool in Washington which seems to have rejected efforts to prettify it with “American Flag Blue” before America’s 250th birthday on July 4.
Days after workers completed a $14 million renovation, green algae blooms surged and sheets of paint started peeling off the basin. And as workers dumped hydrogen peroxide in the water to clean it up, three dead ducks turned up near the pool.

Without any evidence, blaming vandals who “took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash” into the new paint job, Trump warned “there is a 10 year prison sentence for the destruction, or even the attempted destruction, of such things — Which will be fully enforced!”
And as police arrested six persons and detained what a newspaper called “some curious tourists reaching down to touch the water or the slabs of plastic that are floating to the pool’s surface,” Trump posted two pictures captioned “Good Morning from the Pool!” and “Good Evening from the Pool!” with the first showing three soldiers guarding the precious pool.
Then the friendly neighborhood Supreme Court, which had in a rare hostile act struck down Trump’s across‑the‑board tariffs as exceeding the president’s legal authority, handed him a major victory allowing his crackdown on immigration to move forward.
Rulings allowing Trump to temporarily cancel humanitarian protections for Haitian and Syrian immigrants and denying migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border the right to apply for asylum on the Mexican side of the border, came four months after he chided four Republican judges, including two of his own appointees, for the tariff verdict.

But it’s the lower courts which continue to prove irksome to the POTUS. A “liberal activist” federal judge in Boston permanently barred implementation of Trump’s election executive orders requiring people to show documentary proof of citizenship when they register to vote.
Another federal judge in Massachusetts ordered the Trump administration to restore all signs that were changed or removed at national parks across the country under his March 2025 fiat for “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.”
A Washington DC judge is putting hurdles in his plans to build a $400 million 90,000‑square‑foot ‘big beautiful ballroom’ in place of the historic East Wing he demolished.
And yet another pesky judge after forcing the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts to remove Trump’s name from its facade was asking why the building is still obscured by scaffolding and tarps.
Trump’s second‑term agenda is being tested by more than 800 lawsuits challenging his executive actions ranging from citizenship, elections, to federal agencies and more.
Who will win this new brewing David vs Goliath battle? In the Biblical story, David slew Goliath and this Goliath has an expiry date!
