Indian American conservative influencer Priya Patel has once again dismissed claims circulating on X that she is the daughter of FBI Director Kash Patel, saying she is repeatedly forced to address the false rumor.
In a video shared on X, Patel responded directly to the speculation.
“Guys, I am not Kash Patel’s daughter.”
Explaining that the confusion stems from their shared surname, she said:
“You ever been to the doctor? You ever been to a liquor store? A gas station? A hotel? Lots of Patels. Plenty of Patels. Okay, Kash and I are not the only ones. We’re not related. At least I’m aware of. But I’m certainly not his daughter. Okay, I don’t understand why this has to be clarified so many times. But not his daughter.”

Patel has posted a series of messages on X in recent days pushing back against the claim, which appears to have originated after one of her posts went viral.
On July 19, she shared a photo of herself on X with the caption:
“Let’s deport Sneako, Hasan Piker & Ilhan Omar….
Who’s with me?”
Soon afterward, another X user reposted a screenshot of her post with the caption:
“FBI Director Kash Patel’s daughter calls to deport Sneako, Hasan Piker, and Ilhan Omar”
The post quickly spread across the platform, prompting Priya Patel to repeatedly clarify that she has no family relationship with the FBI director.
The misunderstanding appears to be linked to their common surname. Patel is a prominent surname that originated in the western Indian state of Gujarat and is widely used among people of Gujarati heritage. While both Priya Patel and Kash Patel are Indian Americans, there is no evidence that they are related.

Kashyap “Kash” Patel is an American lawyer and former federal prosecutor who currently serves as the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was born to Gujarati Indian immigrant parents who first lived in East Africa before eventually settling in North America.
Priya Patel, meanwhile, is a MAGA conservative political influencer who has gained attention for her hardline views on immigration, including her statement that “immigration without assimilation is invasion.” Her remarks have drawn significant criticism online, with detractors accusing her of hypocrisy after it emerged that her father was a Ugandan-born Indian immigrant who later immigrated to the United States. She has also invited criticism by saying that “not all cultures are equal,” describing India as a “third world” country while calling Muslim culture “inferior.”
