Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger has appointed two Indian American professionals, Dr. Ramapriya Ganti and Jinal Kothari, to serve on state advisory bodies representing health care and housing infrastructure.
The executive appointments place the duo in statewide leadership roles, leveraging their technical experience to guide regulatory policy and community oversight.
Dr. Ramapriya Ganti of Charlottesville has been appointed to Virginia’s Advisory Board on Radiological Technology. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia.

In her new state role, Ganti will work alongside fellow board members to offer advisory guidance on standards, regulations, and operational practices governing radiological technology and diagnostic imaging procedures across Virginia’s medical facilities.
Ganti was born and raised in India and completed her medical training at the University of Tennessee. She did her residency and fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Jinal Kothari, of Virginia Beach, was named to the Board of Housing and Community Development. Kothari is a licensed architect and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of OneSpace Architects, an architecture and design firm based in Virginia Beach.

With over 20 years of experience in both commercial and residential design, Kothari approaches every project with meticulous attention to detail, precise proportioning, and functional rigor.
As part of the Board of Housing and Community Development, Kothari will assist in overseeing state building codes, community development policy, and housing regulations designed to support structural safety and regional growth across the Commonwealth.
