A dispute between a tenant and his landlady in Surrey, Canada, has escalated into a police arrest after a series of videos posted online showed heated confrontations at the rental property.
The woman, identified as Raj Tiwana, an Indian national, was taken into custody after the tenant shared footage on Instagram alleging that she repeatedly interfered with his use of the property, entered his rental unit without permission and became involved in physical confrontations.
The videos were posted on an Instagram account called “Tiwana Farm Survivor” and have since attracted widespread attention on social media. The footage shows several encounters between the tenant and Tiwana, beginning with an argument over a barbecue grill and later escalating into allegations involving property access and physical altercations.
According to a Times of India report, the tenant, who said he was 50, was preparing food on a barbecue outside the rental property with a friend when the dispute began.
In one video, Tiwana can be seen objecting to the barbecue. She appears to point toward brown marks on a wall while raising concerns about possible damage to the property.

The dispute eventually led to police arriving at Tiwana’s home.
In an update posted by the tenant, officers can be seen approaching Tiwana and telling her that she was under arrest. She appears surprised and asks whether she can call her daughter before officers handcuff her and escort her to a police vehicle.
