Amazon has introduced a new lineup of Kindle products, including a compact edition of its six-inch Kindle, the new Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Paperwhite, along with accessories such as the Kindle Click remote. While six-inch Kindles have been around since the beginning, Amazon says the latest model is its lightest yet and 30% faster than the previous generation.
Amazon said its team redesigned the new family of devices from the ground up, beginning with a newly designed reverse-stack display construction, a first for the e-reader category. Each device now features a flush-front display, with no raised border interrupting the reading surface. The color of each device also wraps seamlessly from front to back.

The new lineup introduces several new colors, including Ube, a rich purple; Alpine Sky; Seaglass Green; and Graphite. Fig is also being introduced to e-readers for the first time, according to Android Authority.
Amazon is also introducing the $34.99 Kindle Click, a compact Bluetooth remote designed to let readers turn pages without touching their Kindle. According to a TechCrunch report, the remote is designed for situations where touching the Kindle is inconvenient.
Amazon specifically positions the Kindle Click for reading under the covers, on a treadmill or with a Kindle resting on a tray table during a flight. Readers can press a button on the remote to turn the page instead of reaching for the e-reader.
The accessory is compatible with all new Kindle devices, as well as Kindle models released in 2024 and later.
Kindle Click enters a market where similar accessories are already available. Rakuten Kobo, for instance, launched its $29.99 Kobo Remote last year. There is also the BOOX Tappy, a $29.99 wireless page-turner designed for BOOX ePaper devices.

Kindle users have long relied on third-party accessories, many of which use a clip-on mechanism that physically touches the display rather than communicating directly with the Kindle.
At $34.99, the Kindle Click is priced higher than some competing products. Amazon appears to be positioning it as an official accessory designed specifically for newer Kindle models.
Other accessories announced by Amazon include a magnetic cover with physical page-turn buttons and a charging dock stand for the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Colorsoft Signature Edition.
