Modi likely uses an iPhone 6.

WASHINGTON, DC: The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi continues to build up his online following, with the latest venture being to join the popular picture sharing social network Instagram, and it’s caught on fast with the online community, as he has now over 105,000 followers.
For a man who is very private, Modi has turned out to be a consummate expert at getting the world to notice him in greater numbers via the internet since he assumed office earlier this year. It also shows a personal side to him, open to sharing what he sees, and his perspective of the world. It’s no wonder that he is one of the most popular leaders globally on the social media, with mammoth following on Twitter and Facebook.
At the last count, Modi had almost 7.84 million followers on Twitter @narendramodi and an additional 3.43 million on the Prime Minister’s Office account @PMOIndia. Those numbers must have gone up as you read this.
He has also spread his messages and interests through other social sites like Facebook, Stumbleupon, Pinterest, Tumblr and LinkedIn, according to reports in the Indian media. He has been sharing photos on Flickr as well, said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Modi’s first photo posted on Instagram, taken in Myanmar, is likely taken from an iPhone 6, as he had prior to posting that debut photo tweeted one of him holding a phone in his hand that looks like the latest version of the iPhone.
In that profile photo posted on twitter, he is clicked by somebody as he stands at the venue of the ASEAN Summit in Myanmar, busy taking a picture himself. In the background is somebody else busy taking a photo of Modi. It’s likely Modi was in the process of taking the photo that he soon posted on Instagram, of a banner at the venue. Here it is:

He wrote this message to go with the photo: “Hello World! Great being on Instagram. My first photo…this one from the ASEAN Summit.”
Instagram, which was bought by Facebook two years ago for around $1 billion, allows videos to be posted too, but limited to 15 seconds duration. It remains to be seen if Modi will post videos too.
