The incident happened around 7 p.m. when the younger boy reached home from his tuition class. When he saw his elder brother smoking a cigarette, he asked for one too, but the brother refused to give one.
Then the boy threatened that he would complain to their parents about his smoking habit. This led to an argument and they started fighting each other. The accused picked up a frying pan in the meantime and hit his brother on the head with it several times.
The younger boy fled the house when he saw his elder brother falling unconscious on the floor with blood coming out of his head.
When their parents reached home after some time, they saw the elder boy lying on the floor unconscious with a pool of blood around his head. They called the police suspecting a robbery attempt and rushed to a local hospital with the boy. But he died on the way to the hospital.
Later, the younger boy came back to the house to apologize to his brother. He broke into tears hearing the news of the death of his brother.
Police have registered a murder case against him. The police produced him before a juvenile justice board, which sent him to a juvenile reform home.
