The Big Bang Theorist and comedian exhorts his million plus Twitter followers to go vote for the Cavs star and help him make an NBA All-Star.
Kunal Nayyar, otherwise known as Rajesh Kootherapali on the hit CBS television show, The Big Bang Theory, took it to Twitter to help his longtime friend, Tristan Thompson finally become an All-Star.
“Vote for my dear friend @RealTristan13 and make him the ALL STAR that he is!!!! #NBAVOTE,” he tweeted on Friday.

An avid tweeter, the Indian American star has more than 1.3 million followers.
Unfortunately for Nayyar, his friend isn’t among the top 10 in voting, but voting doesn’t end until the 16th, so it looks like he’s going to need to campaign a lot more.
According to Forbes, Nayyar was the third highest-paid actor in 2015, earning $20 million. In fact, his three fellow co-stars made up four of the five highest paid actors.
Apart from The Big Bang Theory, Nayyar has also worked on Ice Age: Continental Drift, Sanjay and Craig, and Dr. Cabbie.
Drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers at the fourth spot in the 2011 NBA Draft, Thompson made back-to-back playoff appearances in 2015 and 2016. And although how Nayyar knows the NBA star isn’t certain, one thing’s for sure, which is that Thompson was an integral part of the 2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers championship squad.
Led by LeBron James, the Cavs became the first time in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit. Thompson averaged a double double and dominated the glass, while shooting above 60% from the field.
Last year the Cavs saw only James as a representative on an All-NBA team. This year will likely see fellow 2011 NBA draft pick, Kyrie Irving join the mix. Teammates James leads the league in votes with 595,288 votes and is almost a certain lock in as starting frontcourt, while Kevin Love is third in Eastern Conference frontcourt voting, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, with 250,347 votes. Kyrie Irving is second in the league in voting and leads all guards with 543,030.
To vote NBA fans may submit one full ballot each day through NBA.com, the NBA App (available on Android and iOS), Twitter, Facebook and Google Search, as well as via Sina Weibo and Tencent Microblogs in China. All current NBA players are available for selection.
