Kejriwal is a highly regarded cubist internationally.
Solving a Rubik’s cube needs a lot of patience and agree or not, for a beginner it isn’t very easy and might have to bleed the head for hours or even days to put all six colors on each side of the cube. But, for an Indian American boy from New York, solving Rubik’s cube is as easy as solving a single digit mathematical calculation.
Aryan Kejriwal, a 16-year-old from New York is in a race against split seconds when it comes to solving a Rubik’s cube and has already won many medals in international level participating in Speedcubing.
Kejriwal has won over 50 medals in the span of three and a half years and latest he won five medals in the Rubik’s Cube Speed Solving competition in Massachusetts, on April 1, 2017 (Weston Spring 2017).
By winning 5×5 game, Kejriwal moved up to the third rank in the US and positioned himself in the 18th spot in the world ranking. He also got gold in the 6x6x6 match and is number 3 in the US and number 16 in the world among over 10,000 such players.
The Indian American boy has played in speed cubing competitions held in both the US and India. In March, he won the silver medal in 5x5x5 in just 53.44 seconds (almost 10 seconds better than his earlier gold in 5x5x5 for decoding it in 1-minute 5-seconds in February 2017).
Rubik’s cube is a brain game that requires the player to match same colors on each side of the cube. The most popular cube is 3x3x3 but there are over 43 quintillion configurations possible taking it to 7x7x7 level with over 17 variants of cubes.
A Rubik’s cube player, popularly known as Cubist has to be able to identify the patterns before choosing the algorithms that can solve it in the less possible time. The World Cubing Association (WCA), the official agency that is supporting the sport has the presence across the globe with over 65,000 cubists as its members. Kejriwal is one of the members and highly regarded cubist of the organization.
