Ampcus has acquired SmarterD, an AI-powered platform that brings together IT, security and compliance data across enterprise systems, the companies announced Monday.
The acquisition will place SmarterD within Ampcus’ cybersecurity and risk management division. The SmarterD brand will remain in use following the deal.
SmarterD’s platform is designed to address data silos that can make it difficult for organizations to get a consolidated view of their IT and security operations. It combines data from existing enterprise systems and provides a centralized interface for monitoring risks, automating workflows and analyzing information.

Ampcus said the technology will be incorporated into its existing cybersecurity and digital transformation offerings, with a focus on organizations operating in heavily regulated industries.
The deal comes as companies face growing demands to connect cybersecurity, compliance and IT operations rather than manage them through separate systems. For Ampcus, the acquisition expands its existing services in digital transformation, infrastructure management and testing.
Mike Santos, CEO of SmarterD, said the acquisition would give the company access to Ampcus’ enterprise relationships and global reach. Santos will step away from day-to-day operations following the acquisition.
“This acquisition marks an important milestone for SmarterD and our customers. Ampcus’s global reach, deep enterprise relationships, and commitment to innovation will enable us to scale our platform faster and deliver even greater value to organizations managing complex IT and security environments,” Santos said.
He added that the SmarterD team and technology would continue under Ampcus’ ownership, while the brand would remain unchanged.
Salil Sankaran, president of Ampcus Inc., said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s cybersecurity business as enterprises deal with increasingly complex security and compliance requirements.
“SmarterD’s AI-powered data convergence platform is exactly what the market needs right now,” Sankaran said.

He said having a unified view of IT and security data has become increasingly important for organizations seeking to manage risk and improve operational efficiency.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the announcement.
Ampcus provides digital transformation, cybersecurity and IT services, while SmarterD develops technology focused on bringing IT, security and compliance data together through a centralized platform.
