Vivek Ramaswamy is facing another sharp attack from Nalin Haley, the son of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, after a campaign video featuring the Ohio gubernatorial candidate drew attention online.
The clip shows Ramaswamy at batting cages as he promotes his campaign agenda for Ohio. In the video, Ramaswamy says he has 10 priorities for the state, including cutting property taxes, eliminating the state income tax and reducing electricity and health care costs.
“Here’s 10 things I’m going to do for Ohio. Slash your property taxes. Abolish your state income tax. Cut your electric bills. Prosecute Medicaid fraud. Bring higher standards to our schools. Slice your health care costs. Bring high-paying jobs back to our state. Put human traffickers in prison where they belong. Teach kids to be proud of our state and our country. Crush crime in our cities. Coming in 2027.”

CNN journalist Andrew Kaczynski shared the clip on X with the caption: “Vivek Ramaswamy has an Instagram video at batting cages and presenting the swing without comment.”
Nalin Haley then reshared the post with a highly personal jab at Ramaswamy.
“If someone tries REALLY hard to convince you they’re normal… they’re probably not. He’s like if a lizard tried to put on human skin. We need more normal people representing us. Otherwise you end up with anti-American, unathletic, dorks like this,” Haley wrote.
The post adds to an increasingly public feud between Haley and Ramaswamy that has continued from the 2024 Republican presidential primary into the Ohio governor’s race.
Haley previously launched another blistering attack on Ramaswamy after the Republican candidate warned critics against spreading what he described as defamatory claims about his business record.
“(Friendly note to those trying to push defamatory lies: save your records & don’t delete them),” Ramaswamy wrote in a post on X.
Nalin Haley responded by accusing Ramaswamy of political opportunism and claiming that he had previously sought Nikki Haley’s support.
“My Mom would never say this cuz she’s too nice… but I’m not so I will,” Haley wrote.
He alleged that Ramaswamy had contacted Nikki Haley in 2021 seeking public praise for his book, which he said she eventually provided. Haley also claimed Ramaswamy later sought her advice about a possible run for Ohio governor.

“He was a total fangirl before the grift,” Haley wrote, arguing that Ramaswamy’s presidential campaign was not driven by genuine political convictions.
“He didn’t actually believe any of it. He just wanted the endorsement.”
Haley also accused Ramaswamy of using his presidential campaign as a pathway to the Ohio governor’s race and described it as a “fraudulent presidential campaign.” He further criticized Ramaswamy over his business record, immigration views and approach toward critics.
The latest exchange reflects the lingering hostility between the two political camps. Nikki Haley and Ramaswamy were rivals during the 2024 Republican presidential primary, where they repeatedly clashed over immigration, foreign policy and the direction of the Republican Party.
Ramaswamy has since shifted his political focus to Ohio, where he is running for governor and promoting an agenda centered on taxes, jobs, education, health care and public safety.
