Sagent, a leading fintech company powering several of the largest mortgage operators in the country, has promoted Sridhar Sharma to Chief Executive Officer and appointed Fannie Mae veteran Andrew Bon Salle as Chairman of the Board.
The strategic leadership changes come as the company accelerates the growth and scaled deployment of Dara, its AI-native, end-to-end servicing platform, the Dallas, Texas based company announced.
A seasoned Indian American leader with a passion for leveraging technology to transform businesses, Sharma graduated with a BE in Electronics & Communication from University of Mysore, India before earning an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Cornell University.

Sharma, who previously served as Sagent’s President, has been a pivotal force in advancing the company’s mission to unify and scale the entire mortgage lifecycle through Dara, according to a company release.
Prior to joining Sagent, he spent a decade leading product, technology, and AI initiatives at Mr. Cooper. Under his technical leadership, Mr. Cooper developed several patented artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms and accelerated growth to become America’s largest mortgage servicer.
Sharma’s experience pioneering the application of AI in mortgage servicing helped shape the vision for Dara. As CEO, Sharma will lead the next phase of growth, with a focus on ongoing large-scale Dara implementations, expanding adoption of Dara, and driving efficiency and new capabilities for servicers.

“Mortgage servicing is entering an era where processes evolve in real-time and human capital is focused only on the most complex issues and in delivering amazing customer experience,” said Sharma.
The leadership transition follows the successful development and launch of Dara. Built from the ground up for the future of mortgage servicing, Dara is Sagent’s industry-defining, AI-native platform with embedded compliance and automation to orchestrate the entire servicing lifecycle. The result is greater operational efficiency, enhanced agility, and better outcomes for both servicers and homeowners.
Sagent powers America’s top bank and nonbank lenders with technology designed to modernize the homeownership experience for millions of borrowers, according to the release.
