Former Indian American Apple Watch lead Praneeta Pujari has left Apple to launch UniqueHuman, an AI health platform that uses wearable data, medical records, symptoms and other health information to identify patterns linked to chronic conditions.
“I left Apple to build healthcare that listens and acts early. Today, I’m excited to introduce UniqueHuman,” Pujari, an Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, graduate posted on LinkedIn.
“We’re building proactive healthcare agents that handle every step of care for people with chronic conditions,” she wrote with “a mission to end chronic suffering.”

‘That means solving an illness from its root cause to what works for each person, before it drags on for years,” Pujari wrote. “That requires care that watches continuously, acts proactively, and learns from millions of people.
“Traditional healthcare can’t deliver that because care is always capped by a doctor’s time,” she noted. “UniqueHuman is building care that scales without limits.”
Pujari said they were partnering with health institutions across the country, so your agent can manage end-to-end care in a HIPAA-secure infrastructure.

The new platform is backed by “incredible investors and angels” including Afore Capital, Correlation Ventures, Inuka Capital, Antler, Gaurav Jain, Anamitra Banerji, Wesley Barrow, Raj Sheth, Gautam Shewakramani, Nitin Sharma.
UniqueHuman wants AI to go beyond tracking and help users connect with doctors and manage treatment. Its AI assistant Niq is currently focused on migraine and pain-related care, with the company aiming to spot flare-ups early and help users move from tracking symptoms to getting medical care.
Pujari worked at Apple from 2019 to 2025, including as Apple Watch Lead, and was involved in worldwide product planning. Before Apple, her career included product, strategy and merchandising roles at Amazon and Flipkart. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
