Expected to be unveiled on Sep. 5th

WASHINGTON, DC: Apple is expected to launch the next iteration of its phenomenally successful iPhone at an event on September 5th.
The iPhone 5S, which it will presumably be called, has not been 100% confirmed to be debuted at the event, but given the event’s timing and the buzz surrounding it, all signs point to an announcement of a brand-new iPhone, which allegedly will include features such as a fingerprint scanner and an even better camera. There will also be a new, low-cost version of the phone called the iPhone 5C, which is expected to be announced and launched simultaneously.
Apple’s CFO, Peter Oppenheimer, said, “we are on track to have a very busy fall†when asked about the possible launch. “I would like to leave it there and go into more detail [later on].â€
Apple – the technological powerhouse that produces some of the most popular phone, mp3 players, and desktop and laptop computers – has been making iPhones since 2007, and has routinely been one of the highest-selling mobile phones since its introduction. While recent iterations of the phone have only had cosmetic changes, the iPhone 5S has been gathering a lot of attention for what many think will be the first big overhaul for the phone in some time.
Apple was started and run by Steve Jobs until his death in October 2011. Apple has not released a major new product since his untimely demise; people are hoping that the iPhone 5S bucks the trend. The Sept. 10th event is also expected to include news on other Apple products, such as their iPad 5, which is speculated to be even thinner and smaller than the current one.
