BENGALURU: Xolo, the subsidiary brand of Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava, has released Xolo Q700 Club via Snapdeal priced at Rs. 6899 ($109).
Xolo Q700 offer features that not many budget priced smartphones in India has yet showcased. This includes DTS speakers and IP55 certified water and dust resistance, which exists only in premium smartphones.
The device is not compatible to work in underwater conditions like the Xperia Z series smartphones or the Samsung Galaxy S5, but it can withstand normal conditions like rain and even accidental spilling of water.
The smartphone also features DTS dual-front facing speakers that produces better audio quality compared to some of the other devices listed under the same price tag.
When Xolo first launched the Q700 Club in their official website, the device was priced at Rs. 6,999, but on Snapdeal website the device is listed for a nominally discounted price of Rs. 6,899.
The new device from the house of Xolo is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM and Dual Mali 400 GPU. Q700 Club runs on KitKat 4.4.4 out-of-the-box and chances of Lollipop upgrade are slim as the device doesn’t have high-end features.
The camera department of the smartphone sports a 5 MP rear camera with scene detection & tuning, face recognition, panorama, Geo-tagging, burst shot, smile shot and HDR. But the VGA front camera is a real let-down as users expect better quality front camera now days.
Xolo has preloaded Q700 Club with Hungama Music App, allowing users to enjoy free unlimited music and video downloads for 3 months.
This new dual SIM smartphone from Xolo also supports all general connectivity such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, and USB. Adding to this the device also has an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB expandable up to 32 GB using MicroSD card. Xolo Q700 Club is backed-up by a 2000 mAh battery enabling uninterrupted entertainment for extended hours.
