Indian American Impact, a leading community political advocacy organization is backing a new project by Indivisible, an organization that strives for an inclusive democracy, to stand up against President Donald Trump’s authoritarian actions.
“The Trump administration’s return brings fear, uncertainty and the looming threat of authoritarianism. It’s easy to feel powerless – but we are not,” it said in a media release outlining strategies and first steps to take action against the Trump administration.

Referring to reports that Trump is preparing to sign an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education, Impact said, “This is not his first action to threaten the livelihood of the American people, and it won’t be his last. It’s clear now more than ever that Donald Trump is planning to fulfill the Project 2025 Agenda.”
“We must lean on our partners and allies to ensure that we do what we can to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and push back against reckless abuse of power,” it said pointing to a practical guide of strategies and first steps to take action against the Trump administration created by Indivisible.
“But the most important action you can take right now is simple: call your Congressperson (both Senator and Representative) and demand they stand up for democracy and the American people,” the Impact said.
Call your federal representative and Senators and let them know they need to do more to stand up for you,” it said. “Urge them to reject Trump’s extreme plan to consolidate power. Tell them to say NO to reckless nominations, dangerous policies, and blatant power grabs.”
“Every call makes a difference. It shows our representatives that we demand better, that we demand advocacy. Now is the time to raise our voices, transform our despair and anger into tangible action,” Impact stated.
Meanwhile, Indian American Impact has launched “Immigrants Who Impact” to highlight the incredible stories of Indian and South Asian immigrants who have made meaningful contributions to their communities, professions, and families.
Noting that “Their journeys reflect the values that unite us as Americans and show how immigration strengthens and enriches our country,” Impact said, “If you or someone you know has a story to share – big or small – we want to hear it!”

“Whether it’s about building a business, serving your community, breaking barriers, or simply creating a better life for yourself and your family – your story matters,” it said.
“Now more than ever, it’s important we take control of our narrative and stand up against hate and vitriol. We want to remind ourselves and the world of the resilience, contributions and strength of our community,” Impact said urging the community to share their story.
