AI startup Replit is entering into a major partnership with Microsoft. The two are teaming up to bring Replit’s AI-powered software development tools to more enterprise users through Microsoft Azure.
“Our collaboration with Replit democratizes application development, enabling business teams across enterprises to innovate and solve problems without traditional technical barriers,” said Deb Cupp, president at Microsoft Americas.
To make this vision a reality, Replit is integrating with several Microsoft services like Azure Container Apps, Azure Virtual Machines, and Neon Serverless Postgres on Azure. This means enterprise users can now build directly on Replit and deploy seamlessly to Microsoft’s cloud.

Even the buying process gets simpler. Companies can now purchase Replit straight from the Azure Marketplace, making it easier to get started without extra steps.
“Our mission is to empower entrepreneurial individuals to transform ideas into software —regardless of their coding experience or whether they’re launching a startup or innovating within an enterprise,” said Amjad Masad, CEO and co-founder of Replit.
As Cupp summed it up, the partnership supports Microsoft’s larger goal: helping more people do more with technology.
Replit is currently on a mission to make software development as easy and accessible as writing text. The platform has already attracted over 500,000 business users who are building everything from internal tools to full-scale customer-facing apps, often without needing deep coding skills.
It is widely adopted in product, design, operations, sales, and marketing. It’s not just for developers anymore. “Forward-thinking companies like Zillow are already using Replit to rapidly prototype, build internal tools, and address unique business challenges with custom software solutions,” Masad said.

Earlier in June, Masad shared that the company skyrocketed from $10 million to $100 million in annual recurring revenue in just six months.
Replit last raised $97.4 million in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with backing from names like Khosla Ventures, Coatue, SV Angel, Y Combinator, Bloomberg Beta, Naval Ravikant, and ARK Ventures—bringing its valuation to $1.16 billion.
Founded in 2016 in San Francisco by Amjad Masad, Faris Masad, and Haya Odeh, Replit supports a wide range of programming languages like JavaScript, Python, and more, giving users the flexibility to build whatever they need.
Amjad, previously worked at Yahoo and Facebook, where he focused on building tools to make software development faster and easier. That same focus lives on in Replit today making coding simpler, more accessible, and open to anyone with an idea.
