The life of veteran consultant and former KPMG Senior Partner and Co-Founder of KPMG India, Pradeep Udhas, has always been intertwined with music. His recent release, “Rubaru Tum Se Jo Hua,” a romantic ballad, is yet another testament to his enduring passion.
Now available on major music platforms including YouTube and Spotify, the track marks a significant artistic shift for Udhas, who is widely respected in corporate circles for his decades-long leadership in consulting, technology, and innovation.
The song blends contemporary melodies with heartfelt lyrics, offering a glimpse of Udhas’s creative side beyond the boardroom.

But this isn’t his first foray into music. In 1999, he debuted in Bollywood as a music director with the film Hothe, Hothe, Pyar Hogaya, starring Jackie Shroff and Kajol. “I have sung in some movies as a playback singer,” he said in a recent interview with Kesav Dama for The American Bazaar.
Udhas grew up surrounded by musical pioneers. “Music has always been in my blood,” he said. “My family has been involved in music for generations. The late ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas and his brother Manhar Udhas are my cousins. I learned classical music in Rajkot and continued in Mumbai.”
That early exposure didn’t just remain a personal passion; it spilled into his professional life as well. During his time at KPMG, clients often remembered him as “the singing consultant.” One memorable moment came during a Tech Mahindra event in the United States, where he performed in front of Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra and then-CEO C.P. Gurnani.
That performance led to more than just applause.
A few weeks later, Udhas had another opportunity to sing for Mahindra — this time at the chairman’s office in Bombay, which led to a business deal. “So music builds connections,” he said.
