A startling new development in the Epstein Files has captured widespread attention online. A handwritten note, reportedly penned by Donald Trump in 2003 to Jeffrey Epstein, has surfaced, containing a birthday greeting and a reference to a cryptic “wonderful secret.” The revelation, made public by Democratic lawmakers, comes despite repeated claims that such a note did not exist, fueling fresh controversy and speculation across social media and news outlets.
Trump has dismissed the handwritten note to Epstein, stating, “It’s not his signature.” The claim has prompted Reddit users to dig into Trump’s historical signatures, comparing them closely and sparking heated online debates over how his autograph may have evolved over time.
One Redditor shared a link to a New York Post article behind a paywall, which displayed four examples of Trump’s signatures. Reactions poured in, with some users insisting otherwise. “It’s his signature, and he knows it,” one wrote. Another added, “That’s 100% his signature.”

While social media users have taken to examining Trump’s signatures over the years, meticulously comparing the note to past public records in an effort to confirm or refute its authenticity. The White House has labeled it as “fake,” challenging both the handwriting and the signature, and asserting it is “not his drawing.”
House Democrats have released a handwritten note and doodle they claim were contributed by President Trump to a 2003 birthday book for Epstein, despite Trump’s repeated assertions that the note never existed. The note, made public on Monday, has stirred renewed controversy. It includes a sketch of a woman’s body, as part of a “birthday book” presented to Epstein.
The book is among a collection of documents recently made public by a U.S. House committee, which also includes Epstein’s will and his personal address book, listing names of royalty, celebrities, models, and politicians from around the world.
In addition, the birthday book features a note from Lord Peter Mandelson, the UK Ambassador to the U.S., who refers to Epstein as “my best pal.”

The note, made public on Monday, has stirred renewed controversy. The development comes as Trump filed a libel lawsuit in July against The Wall Street Journal, its parent company, and Rupert Murdoch, alleging the outlet spread false claims regarding the alleged message, according to The Wrap.
The disclosure arrives amid mounting pressure on the president, including from his own supporters and fellow Republicans, to provide greater transparency regarding the findings of investigations into Epstein.
Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) confirmed that the Oversight Committee has obtained the so-called “Birthday Book” that includes the contested note, as quoted by India Times. Responding to the development, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X, stating, “It’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”
Trump and Epstein maintained a friendship for several years, though the president has stated that their relationship ended in the early 2000s after Epstein recruited staff from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Epstein was first criminally charged in 2006 in Florida for solicitation of prostitution and later died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on additional charges, leaving many questions about his activities unresolved.
