Da Nang is positioning itself as a rising hub for Web3 and digital asset innovation as it prepares to host the Unchained Summit Vietnam on May 28–29, 2026, at the Furama Resort. The event is set to bring together government officials, regulators, institutional investors, and global Web3 leaders to discuss the future of digital assets in Southeast Asia.
The summit comes at a time when Vietnam ranks among the world’s most active markets for digital asset adoption, and is expected to serve as a platform for dialogue between policymakers and industry participants.
A key highlight of the event will be the participation of the State Securities Commission of Vietnam. To Tran Hoa, Permanent Deputy Head of the Crypto Asset Market Supervision Department, is expected to share insights into Vietnam’s ongoing efforts to develop a regulated digital asset market, including approaches to supervision, licensing, and market stability.
Local leadership will also play a prominent role, with Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, joining senior representatives from the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology. Their involvement reflects Da Nang’s increasing prominence as a regional center for digital asset policy and innovation.

Organizers say the combined presence of regulators and government officials positions the Vietnam edition of the Unchained Summit as a key moment for engagement between public and private stakeholders, particularly as the country moves from early adoption toward more structured market development.
The two-day summit is expected to host more than 70 speakers representing a wide cross-section of the digital asset ecosystem, including exchanges, financial institutions, and infrastructure providers. Confirmed speakers include Alex Svanevik, CEO of Nansen; Hoang Viet Anh, CEO of LPBank Securities; Vugar Usi, Chief Executive Officer of MEXC; Quynh Le, Regional Expansion Lead APAC at Tether; David Rogers, CEO for Asia-Pacific at B2C2; Cris D. Tran, Core Contributor at Open Campus; and Justin Kim, Head of Asia at Ava Labs.
More than 1,000 attendees are expected to participate, including developers, venture capital firms, enterprise technology leaders, and regulatory stakeholders. The gathering is designed as a senior-level platform that connects global participants with Vietnam’s domestic Web3 ecosystem.
Industry leaders participating in the summit have pointed to Vietnam’s evolving landscape as a significant opportunity for growth. Adam Nguyen, Executive Director at Sora Ventures, said: “It’s an exciting time to be in Vietnam’s crypto space. The regulatory frameworks are in place, the capital is ready to move, and the window to build Asia’s next generation of Bitcoin-native public companies is open right now. Unchained Summit is exactly where that conversation needs to happen.”
David Rogers, CEO, Asia-Pacific at B2C2, highlighted the country’s emerging role in the broader regional ecosystem, stating: “Being in Vietnam for Unchained is a privilege, offering a front-row view of a key emerging market in Asia’s digital assets ecosystem. With strong retail and institutional participation alongside a developing regulatory framework, this is a significant moment for the industry.”
