Eva Singh, a third-year student from New Delhi, India, studying computer science and engineering, has been recognized for her leadership and academics by University of Iowa International Programs.
The International Student and Scholar Services program selected Singh as the undergraduate recipient of both the Campus Leadership Award and the Academics Award.
The Campus Leadership Award recognizes students who demonstrate impact through leadership, collaboration, and community involvement. The Academics Award recognizes strong academic performance alongside rigorous coursework and broader engagement.
Singh, who earned a High School Diploma in Computer Science from Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, New Delhi, India, before coming to the U.S., has served as a student leader and scholar in several ways.

She is an international student ambassador through the Office of Admissions. She has held officer positions in the Society of Women Engineers and the IEEE Iowa Chapter. Additionally, Singh has contributed to the Debate Club, the Indian Student Alliance, and the South Asian Student Alliance.
Last month Singh along with two other University of Iowa engineering students Tayla Lovan, Lydia Pauley, won first place in an ethics case competition at a top engineering conference designed to promote research, entrepreneurship, and professional ethics.
The team participated in the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Nexus Region 4 conference in Chicago, where they were presented with a complex, real-world ethical dilemma on-site with no advance preparation.

The UI student team, which called themselves LEThics, grappled with IP ownership, professional transparency, and conflict of interest and built a structured, professional defense anchored in the IEEE Code of Ethics. Along with a trophy, they won a $750 prize.
Singh, according to her LinkedIn profile enjoys building technical solutions that combine strong engineering fundamentals with real-world impact.
Currently, she is an Emerging Technologies Intern at Musco Lighting, where she works on machine learning, full-stack applications, and data-driven projects.
Outside of technical work, she is actively involved in leadership and campus organizations, including serving as Vice President External for the Society of Women Engineers, where she helps lead industry outreach, professional development initiatives, and student engagement opportunities.
