Tensions between United States and Iran rise as Iran said it can overturn the diplomacy talks with United States after the American strikes overnight on Tuesday. Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader stated that the American military bases in the Middle East are no longer safe and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that it would respond to any strikes by the U.S., via live updates from The New York Times.
Iran’s foreign ministry in a statement claimed that the United States has violated the ceasefire with military strikes in southern Iran. “The United States committed a gross violation of the ceasefire in the Hormozgan region in the past 48 hours… Iran holds the U.S. regime responsible for all the consequences resulting from these aggressive and unjustified actions,” the statement said and reported by Reuters.
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State stated that a diplomatic deal with Iran could “take a few days.” The comments came after the American strike in southern Iran of what the U.S Central Command said were “self-defense strikes.”

Both countries demonstrated development with the diplomatic approach, that could halt the war and restart shipping through the Strait of Hormuz which was blocked by Iran following the attacks.
Rubio referring to the strikes against boats attempting to lay mines and missile launch said that the Strait of Hormuz has to be open “one way or the other.” Though Iran has been letting some ships through the Strait giving preference to allied countries, only a dozen vehicles have passed through it.
President Donald Trump said on Monday that he expects Iran to either surrender its stockpile of enriched uranium or destroy it under the supervision of neutral observers. However, it remains uncertain whether Iran has agreed to either condition as discussions continue.
Israel’s military issued evacuation warnings on Tuesday for residents in Nabatieh, one of the largest cities in southern Lebanon, signaling a possible escalation in its conflict with Hezbollah. The warning came a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated plans to intensify military operations against the Iran-backed group, with both sides exchanging fresh strikes overnight.

Trump also urged countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to join the Abraham Accords, the U.S.-brokered agreements aimed at normalizing relations with Israel. Analysts say such expansion of the accords remains unlikely given the current political climate in the Middle East.
According to a latest update by Reuters, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a tanker experienced an external explosion on its port side near the waterline while sailing about 60 nautical miles east of Muscat, Oman, on Tuesday. According to the advisory, the crew and vessel were safe following the incident, though some bunker fuel was discharged into the sea. Authorities have launched an investigation into the explosion, while UKMTO has advised vessels in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
