Trump peddles truths, half truths and tall tales — all for a price
He is the greatest leader. He is the mightiest general. He is the biggest builder. And he is the largest dispenser of ‘truth,’ albeit with a shovel of salt — all for a price.
Presidential talk doesn’t come cheap. A cool $100,000 a month now buys Wall Street traders a head start on Donald Trump’s economically consequential posts on his Truth Social mouthpiece.
The paid service from Trump Media & Technology Group provides premium access to “the platform’s most market-moving Truths” for the”highest-ranking Truth Social users,” including the president.
“Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” acknowledged Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of Trump Media & Technology, at the launch and such an offering would allow high-frequency traders tiny time advantages that could generate massive profits.
Calls from the ‘boss’ himself to his fund-raiser, Meredith O’Rourke whom he calls “princess of darkness” because she is such a “killer” with donors, oil Trump’s fundraising operation, according to a Wall Street Journal insider account.

Almost every night in the White House, he calls O’Rourke, giving her names to call and ask for large donations ranging from $5 million to $50 million, according to the Journal. In some calls, O’Rourke has referred to Trump as the boss, saying “the boss wants this money.”
O’Rourke’s persistence pays. SoftBank donated $50 million toward Trump’s presidential library. Apple cut a check for around $25 million toward his White House ballroom project, while Microsoft gave around $10 million and Amazon chipped in around $5 million, the Journal reported citing people familiar with the contributions. Meta Platforms recently gave $10 million to a Trump-aligned political committee.
According to a Washington Post report 90% of Trump’s ambassador nominations have gone to wealthy donors and political loyalists rather than career diplomats, more than any other president in recent history.
Full marks for persistence to the Donald too. Snubbed by the “very, very unfortunate” Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship — giving automatic citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil — he tried another tack.
Trump signed two executive orders. One targets children of parents working for a foreign government or part of a terrorist organization. The other seeks to curb “birth tourism” asking his administration to root out firms that assist pregnant women coming to the U.S. to give birth.
Earlier, Trump threatened to go against the “unbelievably duplicitous” Iranian regime “at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II” only to call off a ‘series of strikes’ claiming progress on an elusive deal.

Then he returned to his usual pastime of posting yet another strange series of AI images on Truth Social posing alongside historical American figures and a “Trump 2028” poster reassuringly captioned “Just Kidding!”
These posts showed him with Generals George Patton and Douglas MacArthur in full military uniform, with Presidents Abraham Lincoln and George Washington holding quills and with John F. Kennedy at Camp David.
Another meme portrayed his face as half Washington and half Trump and yet another him leading the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War instead of Washington.
And as Trump’s approval ratings hit record lows in recent national polls, he was quick to proclaim on Truth Social, “My REAL Polling Numbers, not those made up by the Fake News Media, are the best they have ever been.”
In an interview with Punchbowl News, he suggested that voters are very angry with the Republican party, but not him. “They’re not angry at me, but they are angry at Republicans.”
Other than that he remained laser focused on his renovation projects from sprucing up Washington monuments to painting statues golden despite the fiasco with the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
And when federal prosecutors dropped vandalism charges against four people blaming flawed installation work for peeling paint at the D.C. landmark, he was furious at Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for D.C. and one of his most ardent supporters.
“I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro,” Trump lashed out complaining she “folded like an umbrella” and “choking.” Pirro did save her job for now after what the New York Times called ‘a tense meeting’ with the President.
Then Trump went ballistic as an appeals Court with “two Judges, one appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, the other by Sleepy Joe Biden,” halted construction of his big beautiful ballroom saying, “Each President is a temporary tenant, not the owner, of the White House and its Executive Residence.”

“We are not tenants, who pay rent and do all other things that a tenant must do, we are PRESIDENTS, elected by the people of the United States of America, and have many rights,” he retorted vowing to appeal in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, according to a Washington Post report, Trump ordered contractors to redo weeks of work on the new White House helipad, frustrated that it did not sit level with the horizon, as it is being constructed on a slight slope. Forced to disassemble their work contractors are now considering leveling out the White House lawn!
Trump had the helipad fast-tracked to be completed in time for a state visit from the Chinese president in September. The shortened timeline has required crews to work around-the-clock for weeks.
And now preservationists are seeing red over Trump’s plans to paint the massive gray granite Eisenhower Executive Office Building standing right next door to the White House since the 1870s, white.
Opponents are seeking an injunction in federal court to stop the administration from what they say would be a damaging paint job — like the Reflecting pool.
But who can stop Trump from painting the town red, when all he can see are two colors — greenbacks and gold!
