The Interlink Group has congratulated the Los Angeles Knight Riders on winning their first Cognizant Major League Cricket championship, marking a milestone for the franchise and the growth of cricket in the United States.
The Knight Riders secured the title on July 18 with a one-run victory over the Washington Freedom in the MLC final at Oakland Coliseum in California. Los Angeles scored 164 runs, while Washington Freedom finished at 163 for nine.
The Interlink Group, a strategic partner of the Knight Riders, celebrated the championship alongside headline sponsors FuelHero.Ai, a portfolio company of the investment firm, and California Business Bank, an affiliate of the firm.

The championship came shortly after the Knight Riders opened their permanent home venue, Knight Riders Cricket Ground, LA, at Fairplex in Pomona, California, on July 1.
The venue is also scheduled to host cricket during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, when the sport will return to the Olympic program.

The Knight Riders’ championship adds to the growing profile of Major League Cricket as the sport expands its presence in the United States. The 2028 Olympics are expected to provide another major platform for cricket in the country.
