President Donald Trump has generated buzz and criticism with a bizarre video posted on the White House X account. The video, which appears to have been generated using artificial intelligence, shows Trump wearing a ring from the Green Lantern comics and standing over a city with a sign reading “American Manufacturing.”
He is then shown, still wearing the Green Lantern ring, with images of warships and fighter jets in the sky above him. The video was posted alongside a quote from the comics: “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!”
The post was met with pushback and mockery. One X user said: “It’s confirm [sic] … The president of the United States is absolutely INSANE.”
Another X user said: “This can’t be real life.”
“The most bizarre collapse of a once-powerful nation in world history—a vigorous swan dive into an empty pool enabled by a lazy, incurious public,” another X user said.

Green Lantern is a fictional superhero from DC Comics, while the Green Lantern Corps is depicted as an intergalactic police and peacekeeping organization in the comic-book universe.
The post arrived as Episode 4 of the HBO series “Lanterns,” based on the Green Lantern characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart, aired Sunday night.
The video came alongside several other unusual posts by Trump on Sunday. These included posts showing him alongside George Washington, including one featuring the first U.S. president meeting with Trump and top Cabinet officials in the Oval Office.
In another post, Trump shared a video of himself renaming a sign for the state of New Mexico to “New America” before doing a brief dance.
Another post showed Trump aboard an aircraft carrier, watching as several ships were attacked. Another showed him smashing a chunk of land depicting Iran with a comically large hammer bearing an American flag on its head.
Trump also shared a zoomed-in image of the Moon with Earth visible in the background and an American flag. “The Moon is ours,” he wrote in the caption.

In another post, he unveiled the “United States Space Force service dress uniform.” The image features a gray-and-black color palette, with a charcoal-colored collared jacket and matching trousers, a black belt, black boots and a matching cap.
A graphic accompanying the uniform said the design was “inspired by the discipline and functionality of the Starship Trooper uniform” and had been modernized for the “Guardians of the Space Domain.”
Trump also gained attention for his appearance Friday after he appeared to have darker hair when he was photographed arriving at Morristown Municipal Airport.
“This was Donald Trump yesterday while departing to New Jersey for the weekend! Look at the appearance of his hair! Is he getting a new hair color?” an X user wrote.
Photos shared on Instagram by internet personality Michael Solakiewicz showed Trump golfing Saturday in a red hat that covered most of his hair, making it difficult to determine whether the darker appearance remained.
