AI company Forgepoint has raised $9.8 million in a seed round to help “manufacturers quote faster and win more business.” The round was led by Primary Venture Partners and a16z speedrun, with angel investors from OpenAI, Brex, Vercel and SoFi also participating.
According to a news release, the funding will help Forgepoint bring its product, Frank, to more manufacturers, deepen integrations with existing systems and expand its team.
“A manufacturer’s ability to grow depends on how much work its team can quote, plan, and manage,” said Zach Fredericks, principal at Primary Venture Partners. “Forgepoint is giving those teams more capacity, starting with quoting. We backed Jack and Alex because they understand the details of that work and have a clear ambition to bring the same approach across the entire manufacturing back office.”

Forgepoint uses Frank, an AI-powered inside sales agent, to accelerate the manufacturing quote-to-order workflow. The company said it generated seven-figure revenue within six months of launch and processed more than $4 billion in requests for quotes (RFQs), enabling customers to respond to more inquiries and reduce quoting time.
Frank automates tasks ranging from email parsing to quote generation and follow-ups. The agent adapts to each manufacturer’s processes and integrates with existing systems while leaving critical decisions to human oversight.

Forgepoint said hundreds of engineers, estimators and sales representatives use Frank each week. Across its customer base, monthly quote throughput has increased by an average of 30%, while the time required to prepare quotes has fallen by more than 55%.
“Before Forgepoint, we were building quotes by hand and barely keeping up. Now, Frank drafts and I can approve it in two minutes. I’m spending less time entering data and more time serving my customers,” said Chas Aday, founder and chief revenue officer of SIP Manufacturing.
