BENGALURU: Amidst speculation about the star-studded wedding of Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor comes the news about the release of his romantic comedy, ‘Shaandaar’ this Dussehra in which the award-winning actor plays opposite to Alia Bhatt.
Shaandaar, directed by ‘Queen’ fame Vikas Bahl, is also in the news for the appearance of Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur.
Produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap, Shaandaar is awaited with lots of expectations. Another reason for the hype is due to the fact that the movie is the first to release after Shahid received National Award for “Haider”.
Karan Johar tweeted today “#ShaandaaronDussehra… Will release on the 22nd of October 2015.”
This is the second time that Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap are teaming up for a production venture. Earlier, they both joined hands for the 2014 hit “Hasee Toh Phasee”, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra.
This is the first time that Shahid is sharing the screen with “Two States” fame Alia Bhatt. Currently, Shahid is busy shooting for ‘Rangoon’, co-starred by his ex- beau’s husband Saif Ali Khan.
The big fat Bollywood wedding of Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput is expected to happen on July 10th and the reception is planned on July 12th.
