Indian American Sheela Murthy, founder and president of the Murthy Law Firm, a prominent U.S. immigration law practice, openly expressed her strong opposition to President Donald Trump. The comments came during an event in Seattle, where members of ITServe.org responded with enthusiastic support. Eventually the video went viral, and stirred the internet.
Murthy didn’t hold back in her remarks, repeatedly emphasizing her stance in the video: “Kick the butt of Donald Trump… Kick his a**… really. Let’s face it… kick him really… twice.”
She challenged the contradictions she sees in Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric, pointing out that “two of his three wives were immigrants… It’s true.” Murthy also dismissed the notion that the president has unchecked authority, noting, “The President is not god, the President is not making the laws in this country, even though he thinks he can make laws.”
Addressing the audience directly, she urged members to recognize their collective strength: “When you leave this evening… stop worrying at night… that means you don’t believe in your power, you don’t believe in the power of unity as an organization.”

Her remarks have sparked outrage among anti-H-1B groups, who criticized her blunt comments and viewed them as a direct challenge to their stance on U.S. immigration and work visa policies.
One of the users commented, “Send them all back to the sh*thole they came from. These are ungrateful people that should have never been allowed to set foot in this country. Have no mercy on this arrogant POS!”
While another wrote, “Hey @POTUS you good with this? Here is a thought… end OPT and H1B. Prioritize mass deportation of visa overstays.” Another commented, “No more third-party H1B outsourcing. No more staffing chains. No more job displacement. @POTUS One executive order can protect American workers and dismantle the H1B Tech Cartel. It’s time.”
Even another user went ahead and asked for Murthy’s deportation on X, “Let’s kick Sheela Murthy, President and Founder of the Murthy Law Firm butt back to India.”
