American Express has appointed Dolly Sood as Director – Talent Acquisition, where she will lead the talent acquisition strategy for the India and Singapore markets.

A graduate of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, Sood has been associated with American Express for five years. She joined the company in January 2021 as a Recruitment Lead and has held the role until her latest promotion.
In this position, Sood worked as recruitment delivery lead, heading the strategy planning, delivery & governance for specialist hiring in India and the Singapore region for core business & corporate functions, including financial services, banking & compliance, ITES, and analytics & research.

With over two decades of experience spanning ITES, BPO, banking, and financial services, Sood brings deep expertise in designing and executing large-scale talent acquisition strategies within complex, matrixed organizations.
Her career has been marked by a strong focus on operational excellence, data-driven recruitment, and delivering high-quality experiences for candidates and hiring leaders alike.
Over the past five years at American Express, Sood has played a pivotal role in shaping recruitment strategy, delivery, and governance for specialist hiring across core business and corporate functions.
She has successfully leveraged advanced recruitment platforms such as Taleo, Smashfly, and Eightfold.ai to enable intelligent sourcing, improve hiring efficiency, and support evidence-based decision-making. Her work has contributed to strengthening recruitment processes while aligning talent outcomes with evolving business priorities.

In her new role as Director – Talent Acquisition, Sood is expected to further enhance American Express’s talent acquisition ecosystem through strategic workforce planning, process innovation, and technology-led transformation. Her mandate includes strengthening regional hiring strategies, improving agility in talent delivery, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality hiring experience across India and Singapore.

Prior to her tenure at American Express, Sood held senior leadership roles at Allegis Global Solutions and Genpact, where she led large-scale RPO engagements and end-to-end talent acquisition programs.
In these roles, she was responsible for recruitment operations across financial services and analytics functions, driving improvements in direct sourcing, automation, and workforce scalability. She also played a key role in advancing inclusive hiring practices and optimizing recruitment delivery models across diverse talent segments.
