MUMBAI: The sexy actress Katrina Kaif, who is having a gala time at the box office with mammoth hits like Dhoom 3 and Bang Bang, is now going to be immortalized in wax at perhaps the peak of her career: by Madame Tussauds museum, in London.
According to reports, Katrina received a confirmatory email from officials at Madame Tussauds, which has also a museum at Times Square in New York City which often showcases pieces borrowed from London.
Reports also say that officials at Madame Tussauds conducted an online poll, where Katrina won over Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
Katrina’s measurements have been taken and her wax replica will try to do justice to her looks based on her poses from some of her most popular songs: Chikni Chameli, Sheila ki Jawani and Dhoom Machale.
Other Bollywood actors who occupy space at the popular tourist destination are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.
Kaif has been praised highly by her fellow actors for her professionalism, including the latest being Hrithik Roshan, who spoke at length about his admiration for the professional commitment Kaif shows towards her work.
In an interview to Bollywood Hungama, Kaif when asked about the importance of sense of humor when confronted with various news reports that merely speculate or try to sensationalize issues, said: “It is very important as long as the line is not crossed where you actually feel the need to defend yourself. For me that’s very rarely. It has happened once or twice or thrice (once in Delhi) where someone had said a question in such a nasty way that it provoked me and I actually walked off the stage. There is no need to provoke people. You are doing your job, I am doing my job. I think I’ve always been very respectful of what the media adds to me. I think the media has been respectful of that…My view point is that if you don’t like me for some reason, or if you’re not having a nice opinion about me then just stay away from me. I don’t come from the school of thought that being nasty or being unkind is ever necessary just to create journalism or news worthy story. I think there are other ways to do it.â€
