RegulatingAI and Indianness, two podcast series by Indian American business leader Sanjay Puri, dedicated to advancing ethical AI governance and championing the stories of the Global Indian Diaspora respectively, have made it to the finals of prestigious 17th Annual Shorty Awards.
Regulating AI is an initiative of Knowledge Networks, a U.S.-based nonprofit founded by Puri. RegulatingAI empowers regulators, industry leaders, and advocacy groups with the knowledge and tools necessary to shape the future of AI technologies. Selected from thousands of global entries, RegulatingAI has been named a finalist in the News and Politics category in recognition of its leadership in fostering critical conversations on the future of AI policy, ethics, and governance, according to a media release.

Indianness has been recognized for the awards honoring excellence in digital storytelling and social impact under two influential categories — Storytelling and Other Podcast Genres — for its compelling narrative series that captures the journeys, challenges, and contributions of Indians worldwide.
Through thought-provoking podcasts, live dialogues, and expert panels featuring policymakers, technologists, and global leaders, RegulatingAI continues to shape the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence regulation, according to the release.
Founded with a mission to democratize AI knowledge and empower stakeholders across sectors, RegulatingAI has engaged policymakers, industry experts, academics, and the public through its highly regarded podcasts, thought leadership series, live policy dialogues, and panel discussions, it stated.
By fostering an open exchange of ideas on AI regulation, risks, innovation, and social impact, RegulatingAI continues to drive nuanced debate at a time when technological change is outpacing public understanding.
