Anjali Sud, an Indian American alumni has been elected as a member of Harvard University’s Board of Overseers while another, Sanjay Seth has joined the board of directors of the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA).
Sud, will serve the remaining two years of the unexpired term of Mark Carney, while Seth will begin his three-year term on July 1 with five other newly elected directors.
The Board of Overseers is one of Harvard’s two governing boards, along with the President and Fellows, also known as the Corporation. Formally established in 1642, the board plays an integral role in the governance of the University.

The HAA board, including its elected directors, is an advisory board that aims to foster a sense of community, engagement, and University citizenship among Harvard alumni around the world.
Sud is an influential technology and media executive who has served since 2023 as CEO of Tubi, a free TV and movie streaming service with nearly 100 million monthly active users.
Sud previously served as CEO of Vimeo, where she led a major expansion of the video-hosting platform to become the leading developer of tools for video creators worldwide.
Named among Fortune’s “40 Under 40” and Hollywood Reporter’s “Most Powerful Women in Hollywood,” she is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
Sud chairs the board of Change.org and serves on the board of Dolby Laboratories. She also sits on the executive committee of the development board at Phillips Academy Andover, where she is involved with financial aid initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held positions in e-commerce and media at Amazon and Time Warner.
Sud was born in Detroit and grew up in Flint, Michigan. She lives in New York City and is the proud mother of two young sons.

Seth is a climate and sustainability expert who has worked across public, private, nonprofit, and academic sectors.
Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Seth was chief of staff and senior advisor for climate and equity for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in New England. Previously, he was climate resilience program manager for the City of Boston, developing and implementing plans to prepare Boston for climate change. Prior to that, he worked on a resilience plan for New York City.
Seth is co-founder and past co-president of Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment, an HAA Shared Interest Group with thousands of members. He was a fellow of the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative and lecturer for a course on climate change, public policy, and cities at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

As a dual-degree student, he organized across nine schools to improve the climate change curriculum and founded the Climate Leaders Program, an interdisciplinary program for students with an interest in climate action.
He also co-organized a program culminating in a visit to Texas after Hurricane Harvey, where students learned about emergency response and recovery efforts from many perspectives.
